In July 2007 C.P.R.S. conducted an investigation of an old firehouse located in Lumberton NC. This building was onced used as city hall and then the firehouse. It is not being used at this time and has been vacant for many years. The only thing left here is two very old firetrucks that probably date back 40 to 50 years. The story is that the police chief was killed here sometime in the 1930s. This is confirmed to be true by old newspaper articles. What exactly happen to him and the cause has never been truely known. All we do know is that he was shot and killed.
Eight members were present for the investigation. There was no power in the building thus making it really hot inside. With it being July it was around 80 to 85 degrees inside the building. This is a two story building and all of the building was covered. No one reported feeling anything in the building. Photos were not impressive. No one reported recording any evp's. The investigation lasted around one hour and then we concluded due to the heat and inactivity of anything paranormal.
Conclusion is that no paranormal activity was captured by any members at this location. Dont really have any history of the building have activity due to it being closed for so long. We thought that due to the history of the place that maybe it might prove active. We have found that this doesnt seem to be the case. Thus at this time we will not be seeking any follow-up investigation at this location.
